Needing a place to unwind and recharge for a day or two?

Rockhampton Regional Council provides a free 48 hour campground at Kershaw Gardens on Moores Creek Road, Park Avenue, North Rockhampton, 4701. Entrance to the site is located on High Street, via the roundabout.

Camping Rules

  • Campers are permitted to stay a maximum of two nights (48 hours)
  • This site is for fully self-contained campers only
  • Tents are not permitted
  • Your vehicle must have installed a sink, shower and toilet
  • Your vehicle must allow you to contain and store all grey water, black water and rubbish you generate
  • No facilities are provided on site
  • A maximum of 35 self-contained vehicles on-site at any time
  • Do not block access roads or paths
  • Do not discharge any waste water onto ground
  • Pets must be under control and on leash at all times
  • Generators are only permitted to be in use 8am - 7pm
  • In adherence with local laws, campers must not engage in a prohibited activity or a restricted activity, being camping in a contravention of the above conditions
  • No campfires
  • There is no dump point on-site. There are three free dump points available located at the Rockhampton Heritage Village in North Rockhampton, Explore Rockhampton Visitor Information Centre in South Rockhampton and Cedric Archer Park in Gracemere.

As this is a free-camp facility, sites cannot be pre-booked.
